Research & development
Discover how we master research and development to help us constantly innovate and improve our acoustic solutions.
Our R&D Team
Composed of six specialized engineers, including two with PhDs in acoustics, vibration, and fluid mechanics, the Groupe Boët’s R&D team is the company’s technical driving force.
It is involved in every key stage of the product and project lifecycle, from initial design through to on-site support for our customers.
New Product Design
Our R&D team designs and develops innovative acoustic solutions to meet the evolving needs of our industry sectors. Each new product is designed from the outset to meet the most stringent requirements for performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance, drawing on our long-standing expertise and the latest technological advances.
Pre-sales: Specific Calculations and Complex Sizing
Our R&D team provides high-level technical support starting in the sales phase. For projects requiring specific calculations or complex sizing, our engineers get involved early on to assess feasibility, propose customized solutions, and ensure the technical soundness of the proposals submitted to our clients.
Project Support
Throughout each project, the R&D team works closely with the operational teams to resolve technical issues, optimize existing solutions, validate performance, and adapt products to specific constraints. This ongoing support ensures the technical consistency of our projects, from design through commissioning.

Our simulation and modeling tools
From the 1D analytical tools of the 1970s to today’s fully digital 3D models, we are continuously expanding our acoustic simulation capabilities. These tools allow us to predict how our products will perform even before physical prototypes are built, reduce testing costs, and improve accuracy with each design iteration.

Airflow Simulation
Using ANSYS Fluent and ANSYS Discovery, we accurately model fluid flow within our systems. These simulations allow us to optimize aerodynamic performance as early as the design phase, well before any physical prototype is built.
Acoustic Simulation
Using ANSYS Mechanical, we perform high-fidelity 3D acoustic simulations to predict the acoustic behavior of our products and thereby refine their design early in the process.
Taking Interactions into Account
In certain systems, including SCR systems, the performance of one component can affect that of another. We take the entire system into account to develop a solution that addresses pollution control, airflow, and acoustics.
