The mission of the R&D acoustics engineer

A simulation and design specialist, Benjamin develops advanced digital tools, designs new products and trains teams. He works in direct interaction with internal departments – from sales to production – as well as with universities, laboratories and industrial customers. His mission: to transform complex constraints into reliable, high-performance acoustic solutions.

A career marked by innovation and digital simulation

Graduating in mechanical design from Polytech Lille in 2014, Benjamin began his career at SIM Engineering, a Groupe BOËT subsidiary. There, he conducted mechanical studies on piping networks subjected to intense pulsating phenomena. In 2016, he introduced 3D digital simulation into the group’s practices, a major breakthrough that accelerated design and made it more reliable. He then joined Groupe BOËT, where he helped develop new ranges of engine and compressor silencers.

Strategic, high value-added projects

Today, Benjamin oversees all acoustic, aeraulic and vibratory simulations. His expertise is sought on large-scale strategic projects, such as :

  • the design of silencers for nuclear power plants,
  • development of aeronautical test benches,
  • the development of complex exhaust systems integrating acoustics and pollution control.

These achievements demonstrate the importance of the R&D engineer’s role in the success of demanding industrial projects.

A typical day at the service of research and development

Benjamin’s days reflect the diversity and richness of the profession. The morning is devoted to monitoring acoustic, aeraulic and vibratory simulations. The late morning is punctuated by project meetings with the various teams. The afternoon is often devoted to developing tools for sales support, followed by technical meetings on complex projects. Each day illustrates the balance between research, innovation and operational support.

The engines of a passionate engineer

Three main motivations guide his day-to-day work: innovating and pushing back technical limits, solving multidisciplinary problems and designing customized solutions with high added value. This approach enables him to make a concrete contribution to the performance of the industrial acoustic solutions deployed by the Groupe Boët.

A key role for the future of Groupe BOËT

The position of R&D engineer is a strategic lever: it fosters product innovation, guarantees high-level acoustic and aeraulic performance, equips in-house teams and meets the specific needs of the nuclear, aeronautical, energy and industrial sectors. This role contributes directly to Groupe BOËT’s reputation as a benchmark player in industrial acoustic solutions.

Why join the Groupe BOËT?

Working at Groupe BOËT means taking part in unique and stimulating projects, at the crossroads of innovation and industry. It also means evolving in an R&D culture focused on reliability, performance and continuous improvement. The company benefits from prestigious international references and guarantees full compliance with the most demanding standards and certifications, such as ISO 9001, ISO 19443, RCC-M, ASME, CODAP and CODETI.

Acoustic innovation is Groupe BOËT’s DNA
