At Groupe Boët, excellence is evident in every detail of our work. This week, in our Tourcoing workshop, we carried out final surface checks on three stainless steel wind silencers, each weighing 4 tonnes, with a diameter of 2 metres and a length of 6 metres. These meticulous checks guarantee the quality and performance of every part we produce.
Why a vent silencer?
A vent silencer is an essential device for controlling the noise emitted when discharging gases or vapors. It protects the hearing of personnel, the surrounding community and equipment.
Noise levels during these operations can be extremely high (between 130 and 175 dBA for a typical discharge, comparable to the noise of a plane taking off at 120 dBA), hence the importance of an efficient solution.
Optimum performance in extreme conditions
Our venting silencers achieve sound attenuation levels of up to 60 dB(A). They can be used in temperature conditions ranging from -200°C to +650°C, and withstand upstream pressures of over 400 bar and flow rates of up to 3000T/h.
Boët Vent Silencers are used worldwide in the process, manufacturing and energy storage industries, including the nuclear sector.
